[singlepic=127,100,100,,left]SP had about twelve community artists come to downtown Gainesville to collaborate on the mural associated with neutralizing carbon footprint of THE FEST. It was a wonderful time. We constructed three 8' x 8' panels using recycled wood from previously demolished structures and the artists used reclaimed, donated house paints. When the artists finished on Sunday night, the pieces had been transformed from eclectic-looking wood panels to beautiful, colorful art reflecting of the common good of our environment. On Tuesday, November 18th, at The Sharab we will auction-off each of these pieces.

Society Promotions is partnering with the promoters of The FEST to make this huge 3 day music festival a carbon-neutral event. The carbon-neutral folks are going to have a booth advertising/educating about what they do and how others can participate. To promote all this, we have asked a handful of amazingly talented local artists to come out and, over the course of the three days, create a huge collaborative mural.
