We attended the SIKE! Pre-release party last night at George’s Meet and Produce…and had a great time….and I won a limited edition SIKE! shirt that will be worth big cash on eBay….I kid (unless you want it and are willing to pay big, then drop me an email!)

Ran into Hector Galvez at the party and we will be featuring his art on the site soon. I watched him paint for a bit at Gainesville Fashion Week as he presented his art live and love his work.

We’ve got several things upcoming. Here’s a brief look, we’ll post each with details on the front events section soon:

• The Thornebrooke Art Festival is October 3 – 4. We won’t have a table but will be walking around and supporting our friends who will be set up there.
• The Jumpstart Workshop is October 10. We’e looking for 2 artists to sponsor to attend this event. Check out the details here. If you’re interested, email josh@societypromotions.org.
• Drew Holcomb will be in concert on October 24…details will follow shortly about that night, which will include a massive light writing event.
• Beast in Show will be October 30. This will feature 5 local artists and their interpretations of beasts and creatures, just in time for Halloween.
