Our friend John wrote a guest column, which appeared in the alligator last Thursday 8th October. It raises some interesting points and questions about Gainesville drivers’ awareness of cyclists and biker safety precautions.

Have a look at John’s comment (yes, in the comment section) about cyclists (especially those riding fixed gear) being more aware and observant of the road than drivers; this is particularly appropriate in the wake of an increasing creative-community of fixed gear cyclists in Gainesville.
