Arthur Charles Edwards graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in painting in Spring of 2009. He began drawing and painting his junior of high school. He has studied at Atlanta College of Art and Savannah College of Art and Design. He is a commissioned portrait artist and children’s book illustrator. Arthur would like to pursue a career in Gallery Arts and as a commissioned portrait artist.

Artist’s Statement – My body of work celebrates the noble spirit of the model.  The models are people we interact with on a daily basis. A single trait of a person’s personality has the prospects to stay with our memory.  The work reflects the impact of that one trait we associate with an individual. The work is inspired by the amount of information we can learn and understand a person’s history and our own connection to the people around us.
